(Nearly) Life-Sized TARDIS

It's been ages since I updated here but this project and a new Doctor (!) are great reasons to come back. 

So...the (nearly) life-sized TARDIS. 7' tall, including the light, 40" wide, 75+ balloons and a whole lot of trial and error. 

Lineup of Doctors

I've reworked a couple of my old Doctor balloons and added a Paul McGann to the mix. Every time I look at this I want to count them off like "Eight, WAR DOCTOR, Nine, Ten, Eleven..." It sounds a lot like the kid in this awesome 70's Sesame Street clip: http://youtu.be/lYIRO97dhII

The TARDIS

It took a fair amount of trial and error to figure out my TARDIS balloon design. I'd still like to do a full-sized one but I'll need a good reason and some space--my house just isn't big enough. 

Here's the one I finally ended up with:

It did my nerd heart good to see the family playing with the Doctor Who balloons I've had laying around for the last couple of days:

Dalek

After seeing Asylum of the Daleks, it's a rare occasion that someone in our house can say the word "eggs" without spinning off into a Dalek impression. So...probably avoid us around breakfast time.
